The NALIS Foundation's 2023 seminar was held on June 20 (Tuesday) 2023 at the reading room "Acad. Stefan Panaretov" of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences' Central Library (Sofia 1040, 15 November Street #1). See Program here.

The seminar was opened by Prof. Dr. Elisaveta Musakakova (member of the NALIS Foundation's Board of Trustees). She, as a leading scholar in the field of art studies, underlined the necessity of a portal to integrate the catalogs and digital collections of libraries, museums, and galleries. The NALIS Union catalog represents the first step in this direction. | |
Assoc. Dr. Milena Milanova (Head of the Department of "Library Science, Scientific Information, and Cultural Policy" at Sofia university "St. Kliment Ohridski") gave a presentation to the audience on the topic "Practical training of students at the Sofia university "St. Kliment Ohridski" through open source applications". | |
Chief Ass. Ph.D. Poli Mukanova (ULSIT's Department of Library Sciences) presented "The Specifics of Cataloging Old Printed Books in the Rila Monastery Library: Problems and Solutions". | |
Maria Stoyanova (Deputy Director of the NBU Library) shared "Working solutions for the Digital Library of the New Bulgarian University from NALISF". | |
Hristina Dimitrova (Director of the Technical University of Sofia's Library and Information Center) described the "First Steps in Cooperation to Build a Common Repository of the European University of Technology for TU - Sofia". | |
Sebastian Bonis (Executive Director of Optimeast Europe Srl, Oradea, Romania) talks about "NALIS and Art Nouveau Heritage Conservation. Experience in Transnational Cooperation". Translated by Ekaterina Dikova. | |
The workshop attracted a significant amount of interest. Colleagues from the SU "St. Kliment Ohridski" department of "Library Science, Scientific Information, and Cultural Policy" and the Regional Library "Lyuben Karavelov" - Ruse took an active role with questions. |
